Swisspod has been selected to join the Endless Frontier Labs 2021-2022 cohort alongside 75 other startups active in deep-tech, life sciences and digital tech. As part of the deep-tech track, we aim to refine our business strategy and expand our market position in the U.S. market. This step strengthens our US presence following the launch of the second testing facility in Pueblo, Colorado, as well as the appointment of leading transportation figure Michael Horodniceanu to our U.S. Board.
"It is both a great privilege and responsibility to work alongside EFL and NYU Stern and gain insight into their deep business acumen, as well as their incredible mentors and passionate MBA students."
Denis Tudor, Co-founder & CEO of Swisspod
Our team will closely collaborate with the EFL over the next 9 months to focus on U.S. market entry strategies as well as developing connections with experienced industry veterans using EFL's vast mentor network of Fortune 500 executives, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and academic institutions. Moreover, the cooperation with NYU Stern School of Business will focus on developing a clear market entry strategy by taking advantage of NYUs cumulated decades of business experience.
Building on our extensive R&D activities, having clarity on the implementation strategy for Hyperloop systems throughout the U.S. will enable Swisspod to follow through on EFL's mission of societal impact through science and technology.
Endless Frontier Labs (EFL), a program for early-stage science and technology-based startups at New York University Stern School of Business, is structured to optimize each startup’s chance of scaling into a successful company through a goals-based mentoring process. EFL mentors are experienced entrepreneurs who have built and exited successful companies, world-renowned scientists and technical experts, and well-known venture capital and angel investors.
Over nine months, EFL mentors work with admitted founders to set goals for the startups to accomplish and act as an informal advisory board to guide founders on how best to scale their businesses. Startups making progress are able to attract financing from investors in the program.
Consistent with its mission as a non-profit, EFL is a founders-first program and charges no equity or fees from participating startups. No NYU affiliation or relocation to NYC is required to participate. The program is appropriate for founders from around the world seeking deep connections to the thriving New York ecosystem or U.S. markets.
“Our mission is to bridge the gap between science and markets. We believe business strategy, validation by scientific peers, and connections to investors are critical for the successful commercialization of scientific breakthroughs. To that end, EFL provides founders access to an unparalleled network of business coaches, scientists, investors, and Stern MBA students to help transform their ideas into high-growth businesses.”
NYU Stern Professor Deepak Hegde, Founding Director of EFL
