Swisspod is looking for a highly motivated Systems Electronics Engineer with a strong interest in hardware design, test and software engineering. This position will support full project life cycles of Swisspod’s prototype vehicles. You will participate in the design, development, verification and deployment of complex new high-speed guided autonomous vehicles to be tested in our cutting-edge R&D facility located in Pueblo, CO.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or closely related field
- Previous experience in design of precision electronic hardware, including but not limited to printed circuit boards, electronic control systems, microcontrollers, firmware development and ability to write and review code for multiple common languages (Java, C++, Python etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent team-work skills with the ability to collaborate on and communicate complex technical information
- Ability to perform field work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in hardware/software integration and troubleshooting the integration.
- Experience with hardware development life cycle: requirements, design, development, integration, test, and maintenance.
- Experience with software configuration management tools such as Git or Subversion.
- Experience with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design and schematic design.
- Experience generating a BOM (Bill of Materials) of required components/parts.
- Experience working with vendors for fabrication, assembly, and parts procurement.
- Experience with electronic circuit design in areas such as analog, digital, microcontroller, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), and/or power supply circuits.
- Experience with the specification, design, and development of various telemetry front end processing equipment and management of these systems, including implementation and operation of all aspects of telemetry data processing.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting real-time data processing environments.
