Swisspod is looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Systems Engineer with a strong interest in vehicle structural design, computer modeling and prototype development. This position will support full project life cycles of Swisspod’s prototype vehicles. You will participate in the design, development, verification and deployment of complex new high-speed guided autonomous vehicles to be tested in our cutting-edge R&D facility located in Pueblo, CO.

Basic Qualifications:
- BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
- Experience in mechanical design using CAD software (Solidworks, CATIA, Inventor, or similar)
- Experience with GD&T
- Knowledge of various fabrication processes
- Communication skills
- Passion for engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in designing and developing mechanical, pneumatic, electromechanical, hydraulic, and other systems
- Preparing CAD models and manufacturing drawings
- Experience in FEA
- Experience in analyzing technical risks with DFMEA
- Experience in evaluating and selecting commercial components, materials and manufacturing methods
- Experience in the Automotive or Rail industry is a strong plus
