Swisspod is proud to announce its partnership with the European Hyperloop Week (EHW) for the 2022 edition of the competition, set to take place in The Netherlands between July 18-24. As part of the partnership, Swisspod will join the technical jury members' board, represented by Teodor Rosca, Head of Avionics and R&D Tech Lead.

The EHW is an annual international event that brings together students from universities across the world, as well as companies, industry stakeholders, and academia, all focused on researching and developing hyperloop technology. Now in its second year, the event will host one of the largest student competitions dedicated to innovation in the hyperloop landscape, providing university teams with a great opportunity to showcase and demonstrate their innovative hyperloop designs and prototypes.

In addition to the competition, the EHW aims to stimulate the exchange of breakthrough ideas on the 5th mode of transportation through a series of virtual and in-person conferences and networking events organized both before and during the competition. Prior to the competition, the organizing team hosted a series of virtual meetups on Hyperloop-associated topics, including "How do we tackle the major challenges in the Hyperloop industry," where Gila Kropf, Swisspod's Chief Risk Officer, was a guest speaker. Gila deep-dived into topics related to the societal impact of hyperloop, standardization and innovation, perspectives on commercializing the 5th mode of transportation, and more. You can watch the full replay of the session here.

The EHW also provides a platform for Hyperloop companies and industry stakeholders to share their insights and experience in developing this new mode of transportation, as well as a glimpse into how the future of mobility will evolve. During the event, several conferences and expert panels will be organized. Teodor Rosca, representing Swisspod, will share exclusive behind-the-scenes moments from the process of building the first operational Hyperloop testing facility in Europe. He will discuss the challenges faced by the team along the way, the solutions for tackling them, as well as some of the next steps the company is taking for scaling Hyperloop globally.

Swisspod is honored to be a part of this event and is looking forward to contributing to the progress and development of Hyperloop technology, along with some of the brightest and most talented minds in the industry.
