Exploring a Hyperloop-Enabled Future at the 2023 WEF

Swisspod presented its revolutionary Hyperloop technology at the 2023 World Economic Forum (WEF), during the Swiss-Indian Innovation session dedicated to discovering new collaborative approaches to renewable energy between Switzerland and India.

As part of the Swiss Delegation at WEF, led by HE Swiss Ambassador to India Dr. Ralf Heckner, the company was also invited to attend the official meeting with Hon'ble Mr. Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Minister of Railways, Communications and Electronics & Information Technology of the Government of India.

During the discussion, Denis Tudor, the CEO of Swisspod, provided a deep dive into the potential of Hyperloop technology to achieve sustainable mobility. He highlighted the significant positive impact the 5th mode of transportation could bring to India's strategy for decarbonizing its transport system. Denis Tudor also outlined the advancements Swisspod has made towards the commercialization of Hyperloop, and how its innovative propulsion system will enhance energy efficiency and performance of the system. Additionally, he discussed how the technology will significantly reduce the cost of the rail system by one order of magnitude compared to Maglev systems. He went on to provide an estimated timeline for the release of Swisspod's technology and first product.

The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting is one of the most significant economic and socio-political events in the world. The overarching theme of the 53rd edition was “Cooperation in a Fragmented World”. Each year, the event brings together hundreds of leaders from the business, political, government, and civil society landscapes to engage in constructive interactions and dialogs to find solutions to the world's most important global issues.
